Off The Beaten Path

My photo

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Sunset

Crimson splashed across the skies,
under a purple cloak of night.
The sun put to slumber wrapped
in evenings quilted softness.

Hello Elween, I took the picture just last night, I wrote the poem for a similar sunset years ago. I used to write lots of poetry, not so much these days. How are your classes going. My daughter is about to begin college next year, if she can figure out what she wants to do, all she is interested in is music.....

Hello Olivia, yes, it was taken just near night last evening, I took several, I thought this one was the best. We live on the top of a little hill and have a good view to watch the sun go down. But I seldom have my camera handy. This night I did because I was taking pictures of my flowers.

Hello Pete, so good to see you. I guess we have all been busy.....summer coming to a close, time to shut down the garden, prune and pick and clip. And then I can rest. haha
