My grandson Andrew is playing football. This is his first year and I think he is doing an amazing job. I was lucky enough to be able to go to one of his games while we were in Texas. He is a lineman. I asked him, "do you have any bruises?" "Your Dad played football also, and he was also a lineman, and he was always covered in bruises." So Andrew rolled up his sleeves, and yep, a row of bruises on the inside of each arm........he's a lineman....

- Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

What a handsome young man, you must be so proud. :)
He is getting to be such a big boy. I remember him as a baby, I used to babysit for him, so we are very close. And of course he really reminds me of his Dad......:):)
Yes, I am very proud of him, he is a very nice boy also. Very sweet. And kind.
he's the man! you guys called that "football"? ehm...very different. anyway, this game is too rough for me. i only play table tennis, volleyball, badminton and swimming.
He will grow up into a real built man..gosh, how jealous I am! LOL :)
Too rough for me also Elween, the boys love it, his Dad watches it on TV all day long, and he played when he was a boy. but he didn't care to get hurt, and you do get hurt, and often. They step on your hands, the hit you with their head, they toss you on the ground. Only the strong survive to play again, haha. It isn't so bad when they are young, but by the time they are in high school it is very rough. There are many kids who grow up to adulthood with injuries from "playing" football. Mothers cringe, fathers hoot in pride. It is a guy things I guess, my son is not that into sports, he likes tennis also. But he plays the clarinet and doesn't care to get his fingers broke. haha
My son Nick that is, doesn't care for the game, his two brothers Scott and Trevor are both "into" football. Nick doesn't even understand the game.
