Also known as the Big Muddy this is a very busy river as you can see from the amount of barges going up and down. We drove quickly over the bridge while I had my arm hanging out the window snapping pictures. Maybe not the best way to get quality shots, but stopping would not have been an option or wise, since there is no where to park on a bridge. We came through Baton Rouge at peek traffic time, so we should have stopped and had something to eat and then carried on our way, instead we tried to weave our way, missing the major highways, by taking the back roads through Baton Rouge. Unfortunately everyone else was doing the same thing. We left town on the west side of Baton Rouge and caught the Highway 12 through Walker, Holden, and Hammond. Just a few years back I knew someone who lived along that route, but I was asleep as we drove by so I didn't have the chance to reminisce.
Oh well, somethings are best left in the past.
Lead into morning
up to the stars
you were my sunbeam
took me to mars
built me a dreamship
nestled on hope
found me near empty
anchored my boat.
I listened to your songs
made so many plans
when I was lonely
rememberd your hands.
Wet curls 'n warm lips
and sighs within hugs
waking up wrapped
in arms that I loved.
I won't forget those
as long as I breathe,
Tattood your warm kiss
on whatever you pleased
looking back finds me
lost in these memories.

ah sorry. Endleswinter=Elween. sorry for wasting your space here!
Hi Elween, never worry about wasting space, I got lots of space. haha
I love poetry all kinds, I will come and visit.....thank you for letting me know. I don't write in any particular style actually.....just what comes to my head. They didn't really teach poetry in the school I went to, we learned mostly sentence structure and writing. But they skipped over poetry. And I skipped over spelling, haha
Are those your words Nea, they are truly beautiful? x
Hi Akela, yes, I wrote this for a certain someone who was in my life for about five years.......we were only intimate for a short time, but I loved him very much. But somethings just aren't meant to be.
Not sure I should post really personal stuff like this on my blog now that it is a family blog, but oh well........I am to old to worry about what people think. I was separeted from my husband at the time.
I sort of guessed it was written about someone loved Nea, it was evident in the words. It was part of your life you can't, nor I imagine would you want to, rub it out so it really doesn't matter who knows does it? x
HI Akela, I suppose not, all the people involved already knew......but we have long since stopped talking about it. When I came back here with the kids, it was basically over, and we all knew it. Although I guess I just never emotionally let go.....and probably never will. It was moment in time for me to fill the emotional need that had never been filled. But I think we can build fantasy into relationships till they have no way of working.
