Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Christmas Tree Named Bob

We got an early start decorating this year, and I also have most of the present wrapped and under the tree. The tree this year is almost eight feet tall and very heavy, it took three of us to bring it in and get it in the stand. Ana picked it out and we all thought it was gorgeous.......she named it Bobby.

Bobby is quite handsome -- as are the presents warming his toes!

You name your tree? Our house is too small for such a large tree and the dog would destroy it anyway.

Hi Ritchie....thank you..we love decorating the Christmas tree, and I love sitting in there in th eveing watching the soft glow of the lights. I play Chritmas music and turn on the fire, all in all it is my favorite time of year.

Hi Dr. John, no I don't think we have ever named our tree before, it was Ana's idea, she is a bit silly at times, but what does it hurt. Except when it is time to take it down. Naming a tree maybe isn't a good thing......haha

Dr. John, I remember once I had a german sheppard, and he knocked my tree over just wagging his tail, small tree, big dog.....so I understand......

We'd have to name ours "Lightning" - don't put it up till almost Christmas and then take it down the day after. We do have lights up around the mantel and over the kitchen cupboards already though. They're so nice in the evening with all the regular lights off.
