Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Hard To Stay Away

It is late and I should be in bed but as usual I am not that sleepy. The kids are out of school tomorrow and since it is the day before Thanksgiving I guess I will bake my pies tomorrow. I often bake them on Thanksgiving day and then I am late getting dinner fixed. So I think I will do a few things early so that I have less to do on Thursday.

I started very early this year on buying Christmas presents and I had my closet so full that I could no longer shut the door so I decided it was time to start wrapping. I now have the living room full of wrapped presents, but at least I got them out of my bedroom. haha

After much thought and contemplation I decided to stay home and not go to Texas this week. Part of my decision was made easier because I became quite sick at the beginning of last weekend and it stayed with me for quite a few days. If anyone knows what it feels like to not be able to get very far away from the bathroom, then they understand why it was easy to make the decision to stay home. There is NO place like home when you are not feeling well. I would have been very poor company anyway. I am now feeling a bit better, but I have decided to just stay home anyway. Last minute travel is not really for me, especially over a Holiday. Can you imagine what the airport would be like? I don't even want to think about it right now.

Tomorrow I am going to take a little drive out into the country and try and get a few autumn color shots. The trees are spectacular right now and I feel that if I don't do it this weekend, I am going to miss them. Once the leaves begin to fall, they come down fast.

I hope you are feeling better. Don't over work yourself. Drive out, enjoy the leaves and take some of those pictures that make us all envy you your talent.

Happy Thanksgiving, Nea.

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your pies turn out well and that you get some good pictures ( not of the pies). I think you were right not to go.

Hi everyone, no I never got outside, in fact I haven't left the house in several days. not well.......and not getting better very fast. I stay pretty doped up on medicine which makes me very sleepy and tired. So won't be doing much blogging, I am sorry, I miss everyone a lot, but this chair just isn't for sitting for long. So back to the recliner. Love to all....
