Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Home on a Jet Plane

I drove the kids to the Atlanta airport at 7:00 tonight and they flew out at 9:20, back to California. The car ride back home was a whole lot more quiet without the little one chattering, but it was a rather sad, quiet. I will miss them a lot. My Grandson is the cutest thing you ever saw, and he is very, very bright. So the conversations that we have had, he and I, are not typical for his age. It has been grand fun and I am working hard to talk them into moving here, I even told them I will make a down payment on a house for them if they will move here. Heck maybe I will buy them a whole house........I am REALLY wanting them to move here.

It's always a sad time saying goodbye. I hope they have listened to you and move closer so you can spend more time with your precious grandson. My fingers, toes, eyes are crossed for you Nea. x

To be by the grandkids is why we moved. It is surprising how quiet it becomes when they leave.

Have a Happy New Year, maybe they will find a way to live near you.

Hi Akela, I am sure hoping......we miss them so much.

Hi Betty, I can't move back to California.....just way to expensive, and don't want to live there anymore. The kids will never be able to afford a house there.

I saw that you stopped by my blog, so I wanted to return the favor. I have enjoyed reading through your recent posts and will stop by again. I hope that you will do the same from time to time.

I'm glad that you had a wonderful holiday and I know that you will be missing your family (especially young grandson) as they head home.

Wishing you a grand '08.
John

It is always sad to say goodbye when at the airport, railway depot or bus station. It shows the love that is present.

Stopping by to wish you all a Very Happy New Year.

We couldn't get our kids to move back so we moved to be closer to them. I know how it hurts not to be close. I just stopped by to wish you and yours a happy and blessed New Year.

Hi Nea baby blue,
Here's wishing you and your Inner Circle all the best for the coming year. May it be filled with much fun, joy + happiness. The days filled with much much Sun (light) and the nights filled with bright Starlight.
