Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Halloween 2007

This is my children's favorite holiday, they love to decorate and carve pumpkins and go trick or treating. I buy lots of chocolate candy and I eat the left overs. I was wrong when I said that there aren't many children that come up here on this hill. I got back from town and Ana had given out more than half the bowl of candy. Granted it was almost 8 before I returned home, and most of the trick or treaters had already come and gone, but I was sure surprised. Knowing Ana she gave them all a handful of candy, but why did she have to give them the Heath bars first...... I ask you!! They are my favorite....

I had Ana and Alex carve the pumpkins, (they are both artists in their own right,) while Tom and I took Nicki to his music lesson downtown. They always do something a bit different to a pumpkin face than what you would see most children create. This year Ana made her pumpkin in the style of the "Nightmare before Christmas." Her all time favorite movie. And in its honor, she made us all watch it with her last night......

Great to have kids with talent isn't it, my son sorts me out when my computer is eating stuff, he makes me feel about 3yrs old....

Oh talented kids are a godsend! We changed internet provider today and youngest son sorted it all out for us otherwise we'd be internetless!

Hi Queenie and Akela......I think our kids are much more in the know of how to work with this new computer stuff. It just seems to be in their blood. All of my kids have a knack for it. Me I use the computer, and I know a little bit, but I often have to call on my husband or the kids to sort things out for me.

I suppose we're just reaping the rewards of all that hard work bringing them up eh Nea? ((wink))

Ana gave away Heath bars? That's practically a crime! I'd have hidden them in cupboard and ate them all by myself later.
