Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Little Trev

Around Christmas time my blog turns into family time. A time to think about family and all that they mean to me. I am cleaning and working around the house getting ready for my son Trevor to arrive with his wife and baby. I do not see them very often, about twice a year, and that is not nearly enough. The little ones grow up so fast before you know it they are well on their way to adulthood. Jennie is great, she keeps a picture of us in the house, and she talks about us, and lets Trevor Junior (TJ) know that we love him and think about him, so he is growing up knowing who we are and that we want to be a part of his life. This is important when you don't see your grandkids all that often. I have other Grandkids that hardly know who I am, although I have tried to keep communication open. It is truly the wife that takes the lead and keeps the family centered. Anyway it is the case in this family and those of my kids. I have four sons, all raised basically the same way. But writing didn't seem to be one of their strong attributes. Luckily it isn't an issue for me so I write, I call, I send gifts.......but it would sure me nice to actually be able to sit down and talk once in awhile.

It's strange how you raise them the same but they each do their own thing! My two boys are like chalk and cheese! Love the photo. x

My kids are all so different, of course Ana being a girl is a lot different than the boys, but all four boys are so different. But then they had different dads, except for Scott and Trevor, so no wonder, huh.
