Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Nineteenth Wedding Anniversary

Today is my husband's and my 19th Wedding Anniversary. We lived in Los Angeles, Brentwood area of Los Angeles, to be exact, at the time we were married. I was working in Beverly Hills and Tom was working in Los Angeles, near the airport, so we were on the road a lot. I took two weeks off of work, and he and I took my two boys, Scott and Trevor and flew to Connecticut for our Wedding. Tom's Mom and two sister lived there, and our Wedding was performed at the Yankee Silversmith, a quaint little Inn in Wallingford, CT. It was Tom's first marriage, it was my third. Tom's Mom was the sweetest woman you would care to meet. She had been very much afraid that Tom would never marry, let alone have any kids, so when she heard that he was engaged, she was thrilled to death. So much so, she offered to pay for our Wedding; if, we would have it in Connecticut. California has a law that everyone getting married must have a blood test, which they must pass, within 30 days of their marriage, so we had to do a bit of careful planning to pull off this wedding, out of state. But we did it.

I've missed so many of your posts! Google reader hasn't been picking up your feed again. For some reason it doesn't like you!
