Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

My Purdy Cat

My sweet little purdy cat. He doesn't like storms very much, so he has been staying pretty close to me today. We have been under tornado warnings all day. It is common here, we seem to be in Tornado alley.

He is my love......he sleeps with me, and whenever I sit down, here he is sitting at my feet or curled around my neck. He thinks I am his Mom. If I lay a piece of my clothing down on the floor, he curls up right on top of it......

He looks so contented Nea. You have a real friend there!

Like I said the other day, he looks hugable and kissable. I'd definately cuddle with him.

I hope the storm winds give you a miss!

hi nea! i found your site via akela i think. imagine my surprise to find you live in bartow county...my brother lives in cartersville and my sister and niece both live in kingston. i used to live in acworth for several years, before that..marietta. i moved back to ohio about 12 years ago (and regretted it ever since) but some of the family stayed. i used to hate the tornados down there and i hate them up here!
i'm assuming you all came out fine and hopefully, got some much needed rain.

Hi Akela, yeh, he is a good companion, he is very sweet to me, but doesn't care for stangers much. He was a pound kitty.

Hi quilly, he is a sweetie, but he is best if I let him come to me, he doesn't care to have people make over him much. Nick always wants to carry him, and he doesn't like that at all.

Hi bill, yeh I think it ruffles his fur, the static electricity in the air when it is rainy. And he doesn't like it much.

Hi Robin, we moved here from California, been here going on eight years now. Love the green. but I only have my kids here, no family. That is the only drawback for us.

Nice looking cat. I thought living with all this snow was bad but I sure wouldn't want to live in a tornado alley.

HI Dr. John, I am partial to tabby cats. I have had gray, yellow, and this one is a bit of all colors.

We got some snow yesterday, my neighbors tells me. I guess you needed to be looking out the window at just that particular time to see it though. Nothing hit the ground.

I hope that you are ok with the storm warnings and all.
He is cute.

The media here have just gone overboard because we had some gales with 80 mph gusts. I guess that is a mere spring zephyr compared to your tornados. (Still without them we would not have known the Wizard of Oz!)

I guess when it comes to blizzards and tornadoes, I'll stick with our blizzards. Hope you get missed by the storm.
Before this last snowstorm that we had, our cats were all crazy- I figured they knew a storm was coming.
Mango wanted to go out and investigate but Ricky just settled down on top of the warmest register he could find.
