Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Sunday Night

We had a relatively warm day, with a gentle breeze, I sat on the porch under a blanket with my feet up. I had two really bad days. I have yet to completely eliminate gluten from my diet because every so often I get tricked by an ingredient that I don't recognize. I ate some cereal that had malt flavoring, and didn't know that malt was made from barley. I do now.

It seems that after going without gluten in my diet for a few days, I reacted more severely than I had in the past when I was eating gluten everyday. I guess my intestines are a mess, that is what happens, the gluten is like poison to a person with Celiac and eventually I guess they just can't handle the constant irritation anymore. People die from complications of Celiac, so I have no choice, I have to not eat gluten anymore. Anyway, I have been careful today, and am feeling slightly better this evening. Hopefully I will be even better tomorrow.

I have no idea how I am going to feed my family if I don't start feeling a bit better. So far they have had to fend for themselves the last two days. In May when all the kids are here, they are going to be eating gluten free foods, and probably aren't going to like it all that much. Well a person can eat meat and potatoes.....you just have to be careful what spices you use, and make sure there is no wheat in them.

I probably won't be getting around to any ones blogs for awhile. It is all I can do to get to bed and get up again. Blogging just doesn't seem all that important right now.

WE are praying for you. I can't imagine not eating bread. That sounds worse than hauling this oxygen bottle around. You will get better. Now you know the problem. When you feel well come back to blogging.

take allthe time you need. You are more important than blogs. Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging, we all understand.

We will be here waiting. And wishing you well.

I came to your blog by the way of quilly, I like your title. I am sorry life has knocked the wind out of you, but only for a moment. Knowing what you have is half the battle. Once you find differant things to eat just think how much better you will feel.
