Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Atlanta

Ana took her car and a group of kids down to Atlanta today. I will probably not relax until they are back. I worry because the road crews are once again tearing up and widening the freeway. And there are all kinds of conventions this weekend, plus she is relatively new to driving in a big city. Not to mention having a car full of teenagers with the music roaring and kids hollering. Like I said, I won't relax until she is back home.

Addendum: She got home safe and sound at 4 am. They went to a comic book and characters convention.

Ana is a level headed, responsible young woman. She probably has similar friends. Even so, I understand your worry. Bad things happen. I said a prayer for their safe return.

I was okay until i was watching the news and they said that there was a 7 car pileup on the 75. around atlanta. so I called her, she said that they hadn't left yet, but she would be careful driving home. I will just be glad when she gets back. :) she is level headed but she drives a bit to fast, I think. And she admits it. I told her slow down......don't drive so fast, there is no hurry. but you know teens....

Hi Queenie, they came in about 4am. They didn't have to pay again until 6am, it is an all weekend thing, and she wanted to get her monies worth. but they did get a scare, one of the boys that went with them had a seizure while they were in one of the theaters. None of them knew what to do. They told one of the guards and he wouldn't take them seriously, thought they were kidding. She asked him to call and ambulance, but he wouldn't. So they took him to a bathroom, he was throwing up by them. She said, he just fell over on them and his eyes rolled back in his head. When he came to he couldn't remember where he was or who he was with. I guess by the time they got him home, he was better. His Mom said, "oh yeh, I have them also." and seemed totally unconcerned. Ana says they live from month to month in a Motel, and never have any food around. I told Ana, he is probably starving. he is about the size of a pencil. she said that she and Alex carried him and he weighs nothing. So now I am worried about him.
