Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

Phone Frenzy

I decided to get phones for the whole family, including Trevor. He is in college, going back and forth in a beat up old car, while his wife and baby are home alone. So I decided he needed a cell phone also. So I converted my Verizon plan to a Cingular Family Plan and put all five phones on the same plan. It will be nice when I have it all worked out, my phone "ported", the kids phones up and running, and the numbers all sorted out. As anyone knows that has Cingular, you have a Sim card, that is what holds the programming for your phone. And each phone's sim card is individual to that particular phone. So I am installing batteries, placing sim cards, writing down numbers, reading books, and activating five different phones. And TRYING to not get them all mixed up. I think I have it all sorted out now. It is 3am and I am going to bed. Tomorrow, I hope that when I call Trevor's phone, Nick's doesn't ring..........again..........

and I thought modern technology was to make life easier. I just employ a little man with a cleft stick to put my messages in.

Here I am still resisting getting any cell phone. Your problem though is like the one we had with the downstairs layout today. I pushed the button that was supposed to run the street car and instead the ceiling light went off.

Hello Avus....well it is supposed to make life easier, and I guess once you get it all figured out and running smoothly, it will, but if you are like me, that takes some doing. And then when I get it all figured out and running smoothly, we either get a new computer, a new phone or a new car. haha and I get to start all over again.

HI Bill, every loves a new toy. For my husband, this is exactly what it is a new toy. I doubt he will even be able to hear it to answer his. But he is sure having fun playing with it.

Hi Akela, I had a bunch of things done to it today, and now my phone is tweaked out to where it is working smoothly. I had them move all of my numbers into the new phone. That was easy, I thought I would have to spend four hours moving them across manually. So that was nice...

HI Dr. John, well there you go.....so you understand perfectly what I am talking about. haha.

If you get the wrong sim card in the phone, it is the other number. Easier to just hand the right phone to the wrong person than change the card. haha Or in the case of a light, the light has a new button...haha
