Off The Beaten Path

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

My Fav Five

When I was in school I always liked Wednesday, it meant that we were nearing the weekend. I don't remember ever really liking school. I was just like Nick, when I got out of High School I was so darn glad to be out, there is no amount of money that would have convinced me to go right on to college. I found out later, I had a four year paid scholarship, if I had chose to use it, instead, I chose to get married. I was exactly the type of person that my daughter finds disgusting. She can't stand the idea of a girl getting right out of school, getting married and having a baby right away. Well that is exactly what I did, and I thought it was great. I had always wanted to be married and have lots of kids. Well I did!!

Here is a picture of all of my kids together at Ana's Graduation.....Darrin, Trevor, Ana, Scott and Nick.

They all get along great, yet they are all very different, still they are alike in many ways. They all know how to work, but they all know how to also have fun. All doing very, very well. My eldest owns his own business, my second works in the computer field and travels all over the world, the third is in his last year of college, Ana just graduated, and Nick, well, too early to tell.

happy day my sweet. thank you for the comment about Kayla.

you and i have much in common as we have often said. our daughters are here with us, safe, healthy and with us, how terribly sad for Kayla's family and parents. we are blessed to have ours. Kayla sufferred physically but walked her journey with such grace and maturity. may she rest in peace and know how loved she always will be.

your little girl has graduated! time doesn't stop as much as sometimes we would like for it too slow down just a bit...congratulations to her of course and to her mommy who walked right beside her and helped her get to this point.

your family is lovely and it is good to see them again.

i miss you, i really do. not often in the computer just in case you didn't notice lol...we should just hook up on the phone instead. much to share and chat about and yes, there is a post brewing in me and so there will be that but girlfriends like us should do better than that.

every time i go to the Natural foods store i see items of food you could cook with or eat. i also found a great website, actually there are many out there specially for you since you are such a great cook and one that can manage a recipe well.

your post sounds awfully familiar as is many things for you and me. Ana would have something to say about me and my choices too, although they are making more and more sence to me. i could have written most of the words myself, lol...and here we are, both have been married and have awesome children to be proud of and bring so much goodness to this world.

i hope your health is been good. it is a relief to know that the right diagnosis has made a difference, a positive one, in your body.

did i tell you i miss you? i love you? i often wish you and i could just stay up with that cup of tea and watch the animals roam about...i wish you could meet Chelo, he would love you and the kids and you guys him, he is a cutie...

Francesca hurt her foot a couple of wks ago. she is on the mend and is alright now that is with that pressure boot. there is a story there i assure you, ;p

i am off to bed now but i go with a smile of happiness that i was here to visit with you if just for a bit..

let's do brunch alright? dinner? movie? nah, you and i like nature, how about a picnic to the swimming place you take the kids? yeap, sounds great to me....

xo

nea, your family looks so happy!! and, you know what? i totally agree with ana about what women just graduating should do! yeah, it works sometimes, but, at this time, when there are so many other things you can do...believe me, tif's 24, and had about 7 or 8 friends that married right after graduating...all divorced now...sad...

Hi Andrew, I am proud of them, they have all done much more with their lives than I. And they have many years ahead to make their mark.

Hi Chana, I wrote you a personal email....cause we had much to catch up on......

HI bill, it is a two edged sword, I moved away from California, for a reason that has since become non existant.....and now I am so far away I don't get to visit much. I might have to think about moving to be near them.

Hi Burfica, I had a very unhappy childhood, so I always wanted a large happy family. They are happy, but they are seldom all together. So when we all got together we really did have a great time. Lots of laughing....

Hi LIbby, for Ana it would be very unwise for her to even try to settle down. maybe it wasn't a great idea for me either, but I have my kids, and for that I am very grateful.

I'm glad you all had a chance to get together at one time. Nice looking bunch! And you have every right to be proud of every single one of them- of yourself as well.
